When we begin any creative custom project with our restaurant clients, we always start with the restaurant space. Even in the early stages of a restaurant build-out, clients typically have an idea of many of the space’s finished details.
We review every detail– the mood they would like to evoke in their space, the catalyst of that inspiration. We discuss colors, fabrics, tiles, flooring, lighting, furniture... even the smallest details are important. It is crucial to us that any design of ours– a jacket, apron, or napkin– fits flawlessly into a client’s overall aesthetic. We simply want to add to the ambiance.
Once we have a good understanding of space and mood, we will then get to work putting together an initial creative board for clients to review, much like the one included in this photo. We include sketches, inspiration tears, fabric swatches, trim ideas. Elements from the space may be included– tile, flooring colors, paint chips. This process can move very quickly depending on the client’s soft opening and timing. Once fabrics and styles have been decided, a two-to-three week lead time is possible.
